Between Friends serves stacked originals like the Late Night Romeo and the vodka-sauce Cyn City at 314 Wilson Ave, but only Monday through Friday until 3.
The nonprofit held its grand opening July 17 at 375 Bridgeport Avenue, with multisensory rooms built for children of all abilities.
The 48th annual festival returns September 11 to 13 at Veterans Memorial Park, with Parmalee headlining Saturday and a Van Halen tribute closing Sunday.
The new downtown space swaps pavement for outdoor dining, seating, and green space, with safety upgrades built into the redesign.
The 87-year-old nonprofit cinema is adding a third screening room, a cafe and wine bar, and Dolby Atmos sound, with films touring the county until it reopens.

Stratford Library's board named this year's scholarship winners: Emilie Silverman of Stratford High and Eliza Llewelyn of Bunnell High, who takes home the Thomas Hall Memorial Scholarship, named for a late board member.
Six decades in, Three Dog Night is still filling the Ridgefield Playhouse with 21 consecutive Top 40 hits from the catalog. Whatever the rain does to the rest of the week, Thursday looks like the one to build plans around.
